The Planche à Découper is a 2.9in-thick wooden block, reinforced by solid brass or chrome-plated stainless steel brackets, which withstands all shocks and blows from the blade, providing you with a stable, solid cutting surface.

CARE

I look after my END GRAIN WOOD, and guarantee that my De Kercoet block will last for many years: Every day, wipe with a clean, damp sponge, then a soft, dry cloth.

We recommend regular oiling (mineral or vegetable oil compatible with food contact – see De Kercoet care product) to nourish the fiber.

Leave on for around eight hours, then absorb excess oil;

Caution : direct exposure to sunlight and heat, sudden changes in temperature and low humidity can cause alterations, warping and cracking. Do not machine wash. No direct contact with hot utensils.
